Ipsita is entering her third year in the Honours Bachelor of Commerce program at the DeGroote School of Business. This past summer, she had the opportunity to intern at TD Bank. For the 2017/2018 year, she strives to promote Information Systems Technology at McMaster University and provide students with tools and opportunities for personal and professional growth. She is looking forward to building the DISA brand, catalyzing change and initiating innovation within the association. In her free time, she enjoys baking, playing video games, and travelling.
Hailing from Richmond Hill, Toronto, Ryan is entering his second year of commerce at the degroote school of business. This past summer, he had the opportunity to intern at Now Creative Group, a media and advertising agency. With a knack for design and always trying to find better ways of doing things, Ryan is passionate about developing the DISA brand. He is looking forward to working with this year's team and promoting DISA in fun and creative ways. IN his free time, you can find Ryan exploring new hiking trails in hamilton and discovering new shows to binge watch.
Alwin is a fourth-year student studying Commerce at McMaster University with an interest in pursuing a career in Information Systems. His involvement as the Vice President of Finance with the DISA and past Internship placement at Thales has developed his desire to explore this potential career path. Alwin is responsible of managing the general financial matters of the club to allow DISA to host events and acquires resources for the general members. In his free time, you can usually find him playing basketball in DBAC.
Farhat is in his last year in Economics at McMaster University. This upcoming year Farhat plans to spread the awareness of DISA while maintaining the importance of being involved to incoming first years. In his spare time Farhat enjoys spending time with his friends, playing videos games and working out.
As a third year commerce student from Scarborough, you can often find the almost-6-foot-kid-nba-prospect Mark at the ball court. This upcoming year Mark looks to alley-oop DISA into the top of the business clubs. With a creative and crafty wit, Mark will take his talents to the marketing team and encourage students to come and grasp what information systems are really about.
Ginu is a 4th year Computer Engineering and Management student. Ginu's goal for this year to allow students opportunities to grow in the field of information technology by providing them workshops to learn a variety of programming languages and a different way of thinking. When he's not trying to take his future seriously, you can find Ginu binge watching TV shows/movies, playing video games/sports, in the gym or asleep.
Amitesh is a 3rd year Computer Engineering and Society student, minoring in Community Engagement. He is passionate about technology and loves learning about its advancements. His goal for this year is to help bussiness students expand their technical accumen.He hopes to accomplish this by hosting programming workshops that will give students a platform on which they can build upon. During his leisure time, Amitesh enjoys playing basketball, watching random videos about astronomy and jamming to 2Pac and Kendrick.
Kristal is a third year student in the Honours Commerce program at McMaster University. With a focus on Information Systems and a double minor in Sustainability and Innovation, she aspires to work within the field of Project Management and eHealth.This past summer, she worked as a Health Informatics Assistant. You can always catch Kristal at Tim Horton's, listening to Tory Lanez's new rap album, or looking for a way to contribute towards environmental stewardship.This year, Kristal will strive towards reaching a wide range of students interested in technology and helping them discover their passions by hosting phenomenal events consisting of top-notch professionals.
